A hillside San Juan Capistrano mansion owned by entrepreneur-turned-politician Anthony Trimino and his wife, Jennifer, is on the market for $6.995 million.

That’s 30% more than the $5.385 million paid by Trimino as recorded in December 2021, title documents viewed at PropertyShark.com show.

Trimino, 47, is the CEO of the Irvine-based ad agency Traffik and one of several Republicans who unsuccessfully tried to unseat Gov. Gavin Newsom in the September 2021 recall election. According to county documents, he took ownership of the home from entrepreneur Jim Bellino, famously known as the ex-husband of Alexis Bellino of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” fame.

The 6,082-square-foot contemporary colonial-style home went up on 1 acre in the guard-gated Hunt Club in 1986 and recently completed a two-year renovation. It has five en-suite bedrooms and seven bathrooms and backs onto a resort-style yard.

There’s a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and a grill, and a putting green. A staircase zig-zags down the back slope of the property to the combination pickle and basketball court.

The front door opens to reveal a double semi-circular staircase that comes together at the second-level gallery overlooking the soaring foyer. That light, airy space splits into separate directions.

Straight ahead is the great room that opens to the gourmet kitchen, anchored by a waterfall-style island. A full quartz backsplash and countertops, high-end appliances and a breakfast nook warmed by a fireplace add to its features.

A pocket glass door at the opposite end of the great room in the family area frames the Tuscan-style landscape beyond the yard.

The foyer also buffers the living room, accessible by frameless glass doors, from the dining room with its custom ceiling and a built-in buffet with a wine refrigerator.

Another wine fridge is in the upstairs primary suite, which features a freestanding tub and a steam shower with Accoya wood and book-matched stone slabs. The primary bedroom opens to a private view deck.

Other highlights include an executive office, one of two dedicated workspaces in the house, a large laundry room and an attached four-car garage.

Tim Smith and The Smith Group of Coldwell Banker Realty hold the listing.

Before purchasing this Hunt Club estate, records show Trimino sold a remodeled 1967 modern on a two-third-acre lot in Rancho Mirage’s Thunderbird Heights enclave that fetched $3.35 million, about 44% more than the nearly $1.9 million paid in April 2019. The family’s longtime Ladera Ranch mansion in guard-gated Covenant Hills then sold in August 2021 for $4.95 million.

Records show Trimino more recently offloaded a 1.5-acre estate on the 7th fairway of Rancho Mirage’s Tamarisk Country Club in February 2022 for $3.2 million. That’s 29% more than the $2.475 million he paid in May 2021.
