Happy Halloween, Ghosties!
All Hallows’ Eve is finally upon us and like all good things, the Boos!Letter must crawl back into its coffin until the haunting season returns in 2024.
Parting is such sweet sorrow, but let’s not end this 10-newsletter streak on a sour note! I hope you partied it up and got your scare on at some of the places we highlighted here and you’re ready for one last go tonight.
I appreciate those of you who played along and sent me your suggestions for home haunts, horror movies and other themed events.
Though the season is officially over, Halloween is now a year-round business in Southern California.
On Nov. 17-18, Creep It Real OC will host its Creep It Real Festive holiday-horror edition to Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana. The event will feature lots of Halloween and holiday vendors, special celebrity guests, ghost tours of the historic Kellogg House, seasonal treats and beverages and more.
Costumes are encouraged and tickets are $25 for a weekend pass; $15 for general a daily admission; $37 for VIC (Very Important Creep) tickets that include entry, the ghost tour and an exclusive Creep It Real Festive pin. All passes are now on sale at creepitrealoc.com.
I’m Kelli Skye Fadroski and I’ve been your Boos!Letter Ghost Host for the season. I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween. I will also be back with my less Elvira, more Buddy the Elf persona to curate the Holiday Nights edition of our Holiday Events newsletter, which will bring all of the seasonal happenings and exclusive content straight to your inbox starting Friday, Nov. 24. Sign up for the free Holiday Events newsletter, here.
🧟 Here’s some more spooky fun!

💀 12 Day of the Dead events happening in Southern California
Following Halloween, Day of the Dead takes place on Nov. 1 and 2 and is a celebration that bridges the divide between the living and the dead and to honor those who have passed by keeping their memory alive.
There are several free and ticketed Day of the Dead events scheduled throughout Southern California this year that include lots of food, music and dancing. Reporter Richard Guzman has compiled a list of 12 ways to celebrate here.
👻 Until next season, happy haunting!
