Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery and fatal stabbing of a 46-year-old man in Newport Beach last weekend, police said Wednesday.

Authorities responded to 34th Street and Seashore Drive around 1:36 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, and found the victim, Robert A. Tamaccio, bleeding from a stab wound. The Newport Beach resident was hospitalized and later died from his injuries, police said.

Tamaccio was robbed prior to being stabbed, said Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steven Oberon. Details on what was stolen were unavailable, due to the ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, police arrested a father and daughter from Brea, Randolph Loren Aguirre, 55, on suspicion of homicide, robbery, and parole violation, and 30-year-old Desirre Ritalucy Aguirre on suspicion of robbery, Oberon said.
