Fall is right around the corner in Southern California and you know what that means? Pumpkins, hayrides, and corn mazes! We’ve compiled a list of the top Pumpkin Patches in SoCal that are worth the trip.

Topping the list is the largest pumpkin patch in Southern California, Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin in Redlands. Kick off the fall festivities early on their opening weekend from Sept. 22-24 which has the best deals of the season. This family-friendly working farm has over 50 rides and games including a twisting and turning corn maze, a pumpkin blaster and some new rides for the 2023 season. Be sure to stop here and hit the food court and grab a beverage at the beer garden if you need a rest while enjoying the festivities. If you come to visit between September 22nd and the 30th, you’ll get to see 400+ animals at the  petting zoo which is free with admission. Live Oak has other special offers such as Kids BOGO on September 25, October 2 and October 9. First Responder Appreciation Day, which offers free admission for police, military, fire and EMS, is on Tuesday, October 3. Live Oak is a must-visit so get your tickets today!

UNDERWOOD FAMILY FARMS FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

An hour or so northwest of DTLA in Moorpark lies Underwood Family Farms. This 50-acre farm is open from September 30 to October 31 for those looking to pick their own pumpkin and embrace the rural lifestyle.  If you’re in the mood for something unique, be sure to check the schedule and go see one of their pig races, Farmer Craig’s Chicken Show, or the hay climbing pyramids. Themed weekends are big at Underwood Family Farms. Dress up and enjoy weekends such as Wild West, Antique Tractor and Farm Country weekends.

IRVINE REGIONAL PARK PUMPKIN PATCH

Travel down into the OC to find the Irvine Regional Park Pumpkin Patch. The patch itself is free but vehicles will have to pay upon entry into the park. On September 23, there is the great pumpkin weigh-off where $6,700 in cash and other prizes will be awarded to those with the biggest gourds. There’s an adorable train to ride for the little ones as well as mini John Deere vehicles kids can take for a spin. The atmosphere is family friendly and you’ll be sure to have a great time.

For those living near West LA, take a quick trip to Culver City to visit Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. The name isn’t the only cool thing about this urban pumpkin patch. There are ample photo opportunities at the patch, especially in front of the eye catching shack made out of gourds. Be sure to buy tickets early as tickets to Mr. Bones are known to sell out.
