Taco Bell’s annual “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” giveaway is underway, triggered by the first stolen base in the 2023 World Series.
That feat was achieved Friday by Ketel Marte, second baseman for the Arizona Diamondbacks, in Game 1 against the Texas Rangers. He stole second base in the third inning. The Rangers won 6-5 in Arlington, Texas.
This year’s promotion is for one free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco for members of the Taco Bell Rewards Program on the Taco Bell mobile app. There’s also a partnership with Topps, the trading card company, to win “Taco Bell for life,” actually a $15,000 digital gift card, according to a news release.
Rewards expire 10 days after the stolen base, which was Oct. 27, and are redeemable only in-app.
