The CIF Southern California Regional girls volleyball playoffs feature two all-county matchups in the first round.
In the CIF SoCal Regional Open Division first round on Wednesday, CIF Southern Section Division 1 champion Mater Dei is home against Los Alamitos. In the Division I first round on Tuesday Edison is at JSerra.
All of the CIF Southern Section teams that advanced to the section semifinals qualified for the CIF SoCal Regional playoffs. The regional champions in Southern California and regional champions in Northern California meet in the CIF State championship finals on Nov. 17-18 at Santiago Canyon College.
One Orange County team has a first-round bye — Sunny Hills, in Division III.
